Come and listen to stories about the,  Glamorous Days Of Old San Antonio.    Hear about the battles and conquest of the immortal heroes of the past.    San Antonio's rich and colorful past has left behind a life time of stories to be told about the Murder,  Mayhem, and Haunted occurrences.   Our storytellers combine the Ancient art of storytelling with the rich and colorful past of San Antonio.    Hear stories like the one about a murder that took place in  the Gunter  Hotel one of the oldest hotels in the San Antonio.   On Sat. Feb. 6th 1965 a man calling himself Albert Knox from Youngstown Ohio arrived in San Antonio.    Over the next two days Mr. Knox and a women also blonde haired and about 5 ft 9 were seen coming and going from the hotel many times.     On Monday Feb. 8th which had started out like any other day.  Things were about to change at the Gunther hotel for ever.   On this day one  of San Antonio's most unforgettable murders took place in room 636  in the fabulous Gunter Hotel.   The story goes like this, on that Monday morning the maid on duty had changed the sheets and and cleaned room 636  making it ready for another day.  Later that day when the after noon maid came on duty she noticed a do not disturb sign hanging on the door.  Checking her list and seeing the room had already been cleaned she figured the sign must be a mistake.   As she opened the door on room 636  she seen a anglo man standing next to a blood soaked bed.   Before the maid could scream the man laid his finger across her lips as to tell her not to say a word.   In his next move the killer grabbed the bundle of blooded soaked linens and ran out the door.   While looking through the room the police found what they believed to be foot prints belonging to the victim,   that of a woman along with many cigar butts and one containing lip-stick.   As the police were searching the room it had started to rain.   When the police dog arrived the only trail that could be followed was to an out side fire escape.   Two drops of blood could be found,  the rain had washed away the rest.   In the room a 22 caliber shell casing was found and a slug lodged in the wall above the back of a bloody chair.   Blood was found all over the room leaving police to believe somebody had been dissected in the room.  The bath tub had been left with a bloody water line leading to the conclusion that is where the butchering took place.  Albert Knox turned out to be the step son of a well known traveling sales man,   his  real name was Walter Emerick.   Two days had past before a security guard from the Saint Anthony Hotel called saying he thought the murder was there.   As a detective and the security guard entered the suspects  room they heard a shot.  Walter Emerick laid on the floor still holding his 22 pistol,  with a bullet hole in his head.   When asked if he had killed the girl at the Gunter Hotel he could only make a few gurgling sounds as he passed away.   No body from the murder scene has ever been found.   The hotel changed the room to make 2  totally different rooms, so it would  hide the crime seen.  If this is the type of stories you want to hear.   Historical,  Haunted and  Stories about the Wild Wild West come join us.   All storytellers use stories that come to mind at the time.   We do not use scripts.   Every time is different.   The stories are told according to the interest of the crowd.
